Every town has two economies. The one you can see, on the high street and the industrial estate. And a second, bigger one that is completely invisible: everything the town's people already know and could offer each other.

The retired engineer three doors from a workshop struggling with the exact problem she solved for thirty years. The bookkeeper who could save a new cafe from the mistake that closes cafes. The parent with two spare hours and nobody to give them to.

That wasted resource sits in people's heads while we all stare at screens showing us lives that are not ours. Wake Up Britain exists to turn that attention homeward.
